And you will be hard pressed to find anyone in the medical field who is not indoctrinated strongly with the pharmaceutical companies slant on things (they only know how to address problems with drugs anyway in most cases) but you guys are the parents and he is your child so stand strong and make a wise decision together. I definitely do think that you are smarter to wait until they are at least one if you decide to do it but personally, I would never get them. My sister has never had them, and I've only have had half of them. May God lead you guys in your research and decision!Krystal Eddlemannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-682061999946065885.post-48466092209633060542009-10-14T14:10:46.949-07:002009-10-14T14:10:46.949-07:00I was wondering if because you are allergic to cer...I was wondering if because you are allergic to certain medications, if the baby automatically becomes allergic to the same ones.......I would just be very careful and evaluate both advantages and disadvantages before making a decision regarding vaccinations. I don't believe you are an extremist, but I know some people are, and have never vaccinated their kids!!-which is pretty scary, because if they are exposed to these diseases, they can easily become critically ill. In our case, Jonathan has gotten all vaccines recommended by the pediatrician since he was a baby, I am praying you will find somebody that you feel comfortable with:)Iveth Ortiznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-682061999946065885.post-52489104350411664382009-10-14T14:10:28.131-07:002009-10-14T14:10:28.131-07:00NO! I called around to peds before finding one that was willing to wait until Caleb is 2 to vaccinate and even then approach it slowly and cautiously. It was a bit hard because I work with the peds and had to ask them. You look amazing and are in my prayers.Elizabeth Perrynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-682061999946065885.post-80344128568125336182009-10-14T13:43:37.389-07:002009-10-14T13:43:37.389-07:00Per our midwife we have waited with the Hep B unti...Per our midwife we have waited with the Hep B until they are a couple of days old. Next time I'll wait longer since we are not at risk. The next shots aren't until two months here so you can have more time to find a different doctor if that one stops listening! Good luck! Have you tried googling for other moms in the area that have the same concerns?Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04973699621071739505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-682061999946065885.post-63115136911519743302009-10-14T12:39:09.597-07:002009-10-14T12:39:09.597-07:00Have you tried a family practice doc? The "na...Have you tried a family practice doc? The "natural" community I hang with here said that they are usually more low key, not as quick to freak out and give meds. I have <br />Meriah with a family doc and have been very pleased. The doc is not big on anti-biotics and thought my desire to give one disease at a time (if I give vaccinations at all) was reasonable.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06530759036389267900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-682061999946065885.post-5670241103096556472009-10-14T08:51:22.132-07:002009-10-14T08:51:22.132-07:00Don't sweat it. Then they'll have you sign a form which states are aware of the risks it may involve. I didn't have my kids vaccinated until they were a year and their immune systems were more mature. Did some people think I was weird? yes Did I really care? No.Alexa Witt Hernandeznoreply@blogger.com
