merry Christmas

>> Friday, December 25, 2009

In the past three and a half weeks we have accepted a ministry call in a new city, prayed for a place to live (you know the kind that meets both our needs and our budget), waded through more than 40 unlivable or outrageously expensive homes, and waited for a miracle house.

All this packing and househunting came mixed with the celebration of Auntie Chaycho's graduation and pinning, three baptisms at church, Little Man's baby dedication ceremony, and the accompanying lunches/suppers/&parties.

And, of course, the attempted daily maintenance of Little Man's schedule....

Now, it's Christmas morning. The house is halfway unpacked. Christmas cookies are baked and ready. Family arrived yesterday.

All I can think about is getting about 42 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Ain't gonna happen of course, but it's a nice daydream!
